Allen Blade has asked me to let the Blade Forum's Custom Knife fans know that he is making a special edition of 25 serial numbered EQUINOX fixed blade knives. This promises to be an exciting fixed blade knife project to kick off 2001.

FYI, yes I'm the Phil that did the illustration on Kevin's site, but please don't ask me what the knife is like since I have never held one of Allen's knives. Allen just sent me his drawing and I just fleshed it out. I could tell you first hand what Allen's knives are like if he would just finish my dagger.

What I do know about Allen's work from people who have seen his knives in person is that they are very well made, great grinds, fit and finish. Probably one of the best bargains in custom knives and I know that his prices will be going up soon. So if you like the looks of the Equinox, don't wait order one today.

THanks Kevin for posting all the info for me, ANd also to phil for the art work he did which is superb.

THis is going to be a great project to do, i am looking forward to it myself.

With the interest that Kevin has been getting i think that people who would like one shouldnt wait as i think the serial number reservations are filling up fast for the limited serial numbered 25 so if somone wants one they need to get ahold of The Edge Equipment and Kevin to get one reserved before there spoken for.

And phil Thanks for the well wishes on the new retail store and shop i am opening, its a bunch of work but it is going to be great!!

Hi fellow knife nuts,

Quick update on the Equinox Project. As of this morning we have half the knives reserved and due to strong interest it is looking like we will run out of serial numbers before we stop taking reservations at the end of January.

A big thanks to all here at Blade Forums who are giving Allen and I such strong support on this new custom knife model

Looks and sounds great. I have a question. the illustration seems to show a temper line. Will the knife be differentially tempered?
