some time ago i posted here looking for composite tomahawk handles. a gentleman by the screen name of vector001 came through on that request better than i could have ever imagined.
its 23.75 inches in length. it balances about 1 to 1.25 inches behind where the paracord wrap ends. i attribute that mostly to the eye hook hidden in the end. in fact, my wifes first response when she held my other one, a 4.5 foot multicam vietnam hawk/walking stick, was: "its a lot lighter than i expected." there is a better picture than i could take of the cowled lanyard hole at their site. i cant direct link, but the site is http://hawks.equinoxcoronado.com/ just click the yellow dots to see the detailed pictures.
performance testing yesterday was limited. it was really cold, and i didnt want to stay outside very long. i hacked a few trees. very impressive. the longer handle develops a lot of velocity. one notable reaction was
one hit, and i uprooted this locust tree. maybe a coincidence, but it could be the mythical power stored in this creation.
anyway, here are a few more glamor shots for your enjoyment. it was a bad photo day. very bright out and snow on the ground. but you get the idea
and one of my walking partner
hope you enjoy. if you happen to want to get in touch, its best to e mail his wife: ericag@equinoxcoronado.com rather than the link at the bottom of the page. hes usually locked in his own sweat shop and cant answer e mails as quickly.
