I never hear about the Wasp anymore, do you guys carry/use yours often? I picked one up on the used market a while back, and I think it's the coolest little knife! It's an aggressive looking blade, but it handles many purposes quite well. I was looking at usamadeblade and they have several Wasps, I could't believe it! A relatively low production profile, that's just fun to use... I think the Wasp is a cool knife!

Though I've sold every Wasp I've ever owned, I do love the Wasp.

I love the handle configuration and grinds that the Wasps (at UMB) are rocking, but 3/16" is just too thick for me. The maroon linen one almost looks like 1/8" stock, but it's hard to tell from the pics.

They're extremely fast in hand and the most stabby of the whole fiddleback line up. Just my $.02.

I like the look of the Wasp, but being caught with one off of my own land here would land me in the pen.... "Double edged stabbing implements are strictly forbidden for public carry in the state of Michigan"

Every wasp I have seen is single edged. I love my Wasp it is the knife that drew me to the forge!

The Wasp has a beveled spine, and there is just too much room for interpretation in the law here for me to risk it. The Asp I have will cover any such needs just fine, and falls inside the realm of acceptable knives here. So, I'm good :)

Hey Will, I think that you are aware of how I feel about the Wasp as far as initial impressions are concerned. However, I have not carried it very much. I was to send it to Rick Lowe some months ago to get fitted for some pants, but life got in the way, and I never sent it to him. Just last week he informed me that he now has a pattern for this knife, so I have one coming.

I own both the Wasp and the Shank. My Shank is 5/32" and my Wasp is 3/16". The Wasp is very handle heavy, but so is the Shank. They both are false ground, so this is something that one would expect by design. They are just cool, bad a$$ knives. I must admit that I do like the feel of the Wasp over the Shank, partly because of the handle weight and mainly because of the secure, guarded grip. These knives were not designed to do hours of wood carving and crafting, so I expect that they will not be too comfortable for this application. But they sure are pointy, and I am certain that they perform well for their intended purpose, defense.

Once I have the pants, I intend to carry this knife a lot. I'll share some more thoughts once I have had this opportunity.

Thank you for posting this as it made me realize a mistake on our end!

When we posted our haul from Blade Show we stated we were very very tired and please let us know of mistakes. Well no way anyone can tell measurements from looking at a picture on the internet. Well thanks to us reading this thread we realized that 2 of our Wasp on our site were incorrectly described. The Wasp with Ash is actually 5/32nds and not 3/16 and the Wasp Maroon is actually 1/8th and not 3/16ths. To make up for the error please use coupon code ASSHAT at check out and get 5% off on all Wasp remaining in stock!

Sorry for the error but thanks to you guys for helping me catch it! Especially Joe!

Wow that's very generous of you Whitty. The scales on your Fiddleback offerings are very choice. Someone buy that Bear Paw please, I foresee the wife and I getting into a fracas if someone doesn't buy that soon.
