As we all know there is a number of Rats who were lucky enough to obtain the Crash Rat:). So, I was thinking wouldn't it be good if Eric was about to initiate a thread asking those of us who already have the Crash Rat, about who would be willing to buy such a sheath if it was to be offered through the Rat Shop (a price indication would be a desirable feature)? That would enable him to place an order with one of the kydex gurus in the U.S. so that we could buy directly from the Rat shop. What is your opinion about it?

i would buy a sheath for mine, definitely.

i would prefer leather, but kydex would do just fine.

Leather, yes that's a nice idea! As a matter of fact, I think this could be a viable alternative to kydex. About 15 years ago I asked Ted Frizell of MMHW to make a modified Paramedic Axe for me and use leather for the sheath (or, maybe, should I just call it "cover")? The Paramedic Axe is a very heavy duty type of Axe capable of cutting a wrecked car open easily . After all these years the sheath / cover that Ted made back then, is still in perfect condition! Then again, I should mention that he used really thick leather for it and a lot of heavy duty brass tacks.

I see a split interest between leather and kydex. I think this is one more reason that there has to be a poll about it. Then again, one could have the best of both worlds: the KYDEX FUSION! http://www.armoralleather.com/kydexfusion.htm.

I have already bought an exceptionally well made kydex fusion sheath from Dwayne for a Rat Hunter that I have and I can't recommend it highly enough! What do you think?

I have a Kydex sheath on order. . .

I was going to get one of Dwaynes sheaths too, but I ran out of disposable funds.

"Disposable Funds" ....What the heel is that......everything is Busse Bucks in my eyes...no room for food...except Fogo and alcohol!
