I'm just trying to find eric... he got my knife(spydeco fb05 temp with factory sheath) back in august(about 2weeks before he went hunting). He told me a month ago that he pressed the knife(which usually means a week to having it).

He got payment with the knife, so that isn't it.

I've tried getting him on both icq and msn chat, and fired 4-5 emails off. Nothing.

Anyone heard from him lately?

I emailed Eric about 2-3 weeks ago and have not hear dback from him either. Form my dealings, that is pretty unusual behavior from him. Any news would be appreciated.

Thats very unusual indeed.Eric has always had about 1-2 week turn around on everything he's done for me.

Eric asked me when I was mailing if I minded him getting the 250 sheath order for Rob out, or if I wanted a rush on it. So I had been expecting a 1 month turnaround(2 weeks on rigs, 2 weeks hunting)... it's the 2.5months(so far) thats getting me.

phone call goes out on friday if I don't get anything off this

So you haven't even called him to see what's up, and you are posting here disparaging the guy, and to put pressure on him to speed up your order? You have been around here long enough to know better.

P.S.- could a MOD move this to GBU please?

I didn't interpret it that way at all...it seemed more like a fellow Canadian knife knut concerned about a fellow Canadian sheathmaker...and I'm sure you have been around here long enough to know that VW and Normark are both Canadians and stand up people.

I bought two sheaths from him a couple of months ago. I did it based on his excellent reputation on these forums, but probably wouldn't do so again. The workmanship was excellent, but communication over about 5-6 weeks left a lot to be desired. And this wait was for sheaths he told me already had in stock (I changed one sheath in my original order, but before he even received my payment).

I spoke with him a couple of times on the phone, and he sounded like a good guy, but the wait for those sheaths was ridiculous. I say none of this to disparage him personally, just to say that if filling an order will drag out, then call the customer. I shouldn't have to keep emailing and calling. I do hope however, that all is ok with him. geegee

Matteo Escobar, welcome to Canadian knuts. When one of the people we keep dealing with disappears, we wonder. I was making a check if he was still kicking, or what happened to him.

Just got an email from eric about 5min ago, he's having computer probslems and is swamped. Says the spydie will be going out soon and to hang on.

Talk about jumping to conclusions....
It isn't the first time that Normark gets cut off from communication before. He had been swamped with orders from Rob Simonich before, hundreds of sheaths for a particular model. Last I heard about him in the form was that he accidently cut his hand (I think in boy scout camp, he's one of those leader position or something) and had hurt some serious parts in there, and the fingers isn't doing that well. Then I haven't hear much. Perhaps a search using his username may turn up his last post.
The whole post doesn't look like he's trying to put pressure on him to speed up the order. Re-read before you jump to conclusions.
