Eric & Sal: TYPO on PM2 blade

Hey members....is this a typo? I own numerous of PM2 but this one look off...but all looks genuine Spyderco.

Is it new, or older? Do you have the box and, if so, what's the date code? Think Sal and Eric's marks may have moved around over the years.

Pretty sure yours is an early model. Later they switched Eric's logo back behind the hole.

I'd bet it was from around July 2010, I'm pretty sure my first one was just like that. I bet the compression lock tab is in a different location compared to the blue one.

I was thinking about the same thing, wire edge. They did some CQI changes in mid-2010 that changed the lock tab. Could have been moved then...

The first run is like that. My satin S30V with black G10 is just like it.

cool, as long as it is norm...But I am keep it then....since they don't print them like that anymore.

I think i also have one of the first run, because collector number,but only show Sal`s logo.

Yes, my first run is also like that. The lock tab is also further back from the pivot than on later models. CQI in action. The later refinement makes the PM2 much easier to unlock, even with gloves on. This is one reason I mostly only carry my blue one. (My first run is dated July 2010. I was fortunate to buy it at SFO in August 2010 just before the FIRST big PM2 drought.)
