I'm really enjoying this knife already...some mellow martial arts practice and just got out from clearing a trail a bit. It's the first kukri I've even held so the balance, feel, speed!, liveness in hand is pretty fascinating to me..and great! Can honestly say I never thought I would have a blade thicker than my BR! Doesn't feel heavy in the least. Starting to see why folks are so impressed with the design of kukris...me like!:D

I was thinking part way through chopping that a Swamp Rat/Scrap Yard version would possibly bump my Camp Tramp from being my most loved blade!

I only own one kukri and I've never used it. A 12" Rat kukri might get me to re-think its use.

On most cameras and lenses that have a 'macro' setting the camera will only focus at under ~4". A macro lens for an slr will be able to focus at everything down to about there, depending on the lens, but on other cameras the focus is strictly limited to extremely close up.

Cool knives, I really like the battle rat, one of the nicest overall designs in choppers from Busse-kin.

Well there's a few hits...was thinking there's not much love for a kuk...

I was mistaken. I have a CS Gurkha Kukri in 5/16"+ Carbon V steel from at least 15 years ago. I limbed up some lumber we were cutting for firewood and it did such a good job I ended up having to run the chainsaw too. Bring on the Rat Kukri!!!
