My current contract is up with AT&T, so now I am in search for another service. A friend has a NIB unlocked Ericsson T39m that he has offered to give me. I don't know alot about this phone, nor the brand so I am asking for input and opinoins for you guys. T-Moble has a plan that is looking very attractive so I found the sevice, just need a phone. Currently I have a Siemens S56 and I really like the phone alot, just want to try something different. I am not looking for a camera, phone, PC, typewriter and gaming system models that are offered nowadays, I JUST WANT A BLOODY PHONE!
So would the T39m be a good choice, or is there something you guys would suggest? Thanks

I swear by Nokia. I have a 3650.
The new Nokia 6630 is great with 3g technology. The 6620 is also great. Try get a phone with Symbian operating system. Lots of software available now.
Happy hunting!!! :)

It's difficult getting a phone without a camera nowadays. I bloody hate it. If i wanted to take a picture i'd use my digicam. The camera just gets in the way and too many fancy things just drain the battery.

I've always stuck with the Nokia 6000 series. I find Nokia's easier to use than the others. The first Nokia i had was a 6150. Then upgraded to the 6210. Then upgraded to the 6310i which has been the greatest phone i ever had. Tremendous battery life. No nonsense function. A bit dated now and i had to retire it due to it being a bit slow when i pressed any buttons.

Now i'm using the Nokia 6230. Although it is a bit too small for my liking it does have all the functions i need and a few extras i'd rather not have. It is easy to operate and quite tough.

I use a T39m and an Ipaq 6315 as my phones.

The advantage of the T39m is that it's small and easy to carry. I carry mine in my back pocket. To answer all you need to do is flip open the flap and talk, plain and simple. The Operating system is very plain and easy to learn.

And as far as cell phone brands go, Ericsson is world famous in the telecommuncations industry.
