This weekend at the World Head of Family Sokeship council, I showed up to do my video taping and accept my award for Master Instructor if the Year and see Bram receive his award for most innovative weapon & I saw something really special. Next to my table, some older Filipino gentleman shows up & start putting out some wooden sword, bolos & sticks. Someone goes over & introduces himself & lo & behold , it was Ernesto Presas, youngere brother of Remy. We chated, I spent a lot of money on stuff at his table & I was in awe. The next day Booy Tobata and Ernesto both did seperate demos & blowed my mind. Bobby has to (I knew him from before) one of the best slam & jammers in the World and Ernesto had "the Flow" from the get go. These guys reminded me wheather you call it Arnis, Balintiwalk, Silat or whatever, how beautiful and deadly this Art is - Like a lion that is beautiful to watch, but only at a distance, because if you get to close, you can never get away. Thanks for these guys for the lesson & entertainment - and to Ernesto for only hitting a few people with sticks with his disarms.
