Err..why did my slip joint thread get locked down?

That's weird. I read the whole thing and I didn't see anything objectionable. Maybe it was a mistake?

Wow that's weird! I just looked at the slipjoint thread and the system thinks I closed it. I didn't. I'm sure I didn't click the wrong button by mistake -- it must be some kind of bug. I'll reopen that one and look at the others ...

Same story with the two Ryan posted. If you guys notice any more inexplicably locked threads please let me know right away. This is disturbing.

I think this is a bug rather than a hacker but I'm changing my password anyway....

The system thinks Dan Gray closed that thread -- which he could do, since he started it and he's a Platinum Member. I wonder if he intended to do it -- I'll send him a PM.

I was noticing the same thing today..There's a keychain flashlight discussion in G&G closed too..

Yup, the system thought I had locked the flashlight thread too. I don't know what to think ... I keep running around the forums looking for locked threads ...

Maybe your wallet is so full of those magnetic keycards that everytime you swing past the keyboard, another thread locks!!! ??????

:D

I found another one today -- I read a thread and started to click on reply and then I noticed the button didn't say reply; it said closed. I looked and the system thought I had locked it only a minute earlier. So it's happening while I'm reading a thread ... but I still don't see how. Apparently it's not happening to any of the other moderators.

I'm also finding myself subscribed to threads I didn't intend to subscribe to -- that's been happening ever since the upgrade. That's in thread tools right next to closing the thread.... The threads I find myself subscribed to are all threads I posted in. I didn't post in any of the locked threads, though.

sounds liek your userid should be dropped and readded.

Or maybe it's Godd telling you you're sepnding to much time on BF. :D

Coug - log out and log back in, something is probably up with yoru cookies

This time I saw it happen! I right-clicked a thread to open it in another window and before my very eyes the dread padlock appeared! It must be since the upgrade I have new superpowers that I don't know how to use yet. Some combination of mouse buttons and possibly the scrolling wheel locks threads now. This is like that time they upgraded the Six Million Dollar Man and he started crushing things because he didn't know how hard he was gripping them and he'd try to toss something gently and it would crash through a wall....

I'll figure it out. I'm trying to do it again, deliberately this time, and I haven't found the right combination yet, but I'll figure it out.
