Error in the Blade Database?

According to the Blade Database ( http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-(Knife-Specs-and-Data)?p=8961806#post8961806 ) the BK9 and the BK7 have a blade thickness of .21", but according to the Ka-Bar website they are .188". I know it's not much of difference but thought I'd point it out. I found it while comparing the specs of the 7, 9, and 5.

Either the thickness has been changed, or one of the sites is wrong. I'm in no way complaining about the Blade Database, it's a GREAT source of information, but I wanted to help make it better.

Sorry I didn't even notice that.

The 7 still has .21 as the thickness on the Ka-Bar. But the 9 does have the correct .188.

"Error in the Blade Database"? Bladite may disembowel (awesome, that's in my autocorrect) you, but yeah, Clich is right.

I noticed the other day the 7 is listed as .21, but I don't have a 7 to compare. I probably couldn't really tell the difference between .21 and .188 w/o calipers anyway.

there are section for different "eras" yes? hopefully the numbers are right.

in some cases, the official numbers were wrong, so i've started added my own caliper measurements.

i've been told that the numbers varied by whether they were measuring naked steel or with coating, or just had a bad day.

when i get the new catalog, i'll run through and adjust any of the kabar numbers. with notes, if there are differences.
