As some of you know I have wanted a Griptillian with "stock" scales only I want them out of highly sculpted, hollowed out, big and FAT titanium . . . with the checkered texture . . . the whole schmeer !
And I have wanted a real Ti Ti-Lite IV (maybe without the holes but hollowed out so it doesn't weigh nearly as much as my 110).
There was a little brick wall in the way of my dreams . . . the ~ $400 price tag for a square foot of thick Titanium . . . I wanted something thick enough I could go to town on it and not have to regret that I hadn't bought the next size thicker.
Some (my self included) might say I sort of over did it.
I saw . . . I fretted and considered and . . .
. . .
and . . .
I pounced.
Now will someone explain to me why I got this 12 inch by 12 inch by 1/2 inch thick plate of titanium (???), shipped to my door, for ~$90 total ticket.
It looks like titanium . . . it smells like titanium
. . . errrr . . . it's radioactive right and they wanted to unload it quick ? ? ?
How do I tell if it is radioactive short of buying a geiger counter ?
How do I know it is really CP-2 . . . bite it ?
Anybody could print that lettering on there . . .
. . . somebody pinch me.
Ti is light right ? In theory (I haven't weighed it) but this little gem should weight in at 11.74 Lb ! I looked it up.
If nothing else it is going to make a nice rust free anchor for my Bass Boat.
