Hi guys, I'm a bladesmith down in Alabama, been a member of BF for years and didn't even know this forum existed. :o :o

Looking to increase my leatherworking skills and learn from you guys. Thanks a bunch in advance! :D

Edited to add a picture of an example of my ugly leatherwork. It's a front pocket sheath for one of my fixed blade "pocket knives." There's a tandy belt/holster clip on the other side to clip to pocket or belt or inside trouser. Try not to get sick looking at my leather work. :(

Welcome!

We can tell from your stitching that you have some skills.

Jump in and ask lots of questions --- the pros on here are awesome and very willing to help. I've learned tons from these guys.

It looks more than ok , no more or less sheath than you need to do the job. Would like to see the blade it's holding.

It's a hemp wrap, an experiment in techniques that some people apparently liked. The knife is fairly small, 2 3/4" blade 6 7/8" overall. Thanks for the encouragement.

Nice, I like square sheaths. I just made my first sheath a couple days ago, and went square.

Of course, I kinda had to go square, as the blade was square too.

I think the shape works very well for pocket carry, no matter the shape of the blade, I like them.
