ERU field sharpener video. technique and use.

We finished a video on the new ERU sharpener this week. It tells a bit about the the invention and demonstrates proper technique.

I couldn't get Brad Pitt so I had to do it myself. ha ha! Fred

Hello Fred,
I watched the whole video. I thought the most interesting part was at around 31:00 where you explain how the two parts don't come together. That is probably the most important part (to me) because it won't pinch the blade and rip steel. I'm interested in what others here think.

The alignment pin working with the accurate abrasive surfaces helps in this area as well. But setting the carbides apart and having a place for the metal and fluid channel away is something that can be felt in the hand holding the knife.
