ERU users

I am a new member on this forum, and one of my many sharpening tools, gizmos, thingamajigs is one of Fred's ERU. I use it to clean my burrs when freehanding between stones and a final pass to set a microbevel on pocket knives. Are there others who also use this useful and quite interesting tool?

Always wondered about Ted Erdelyi's Edge Renewal Utility Sharpener? It was always outside my budget at 6X.XX dollars. Plus I came with a bad attitude on pull thru sharpening, having seen so many edges ruined by pull thru's. Watched him and figured he thought inherent problems through to a good solution. No longer appears for sale, though he still owns domain (which now requires bi-annual renewals).
