Hey Easv.

I saw in another thread that you have a Crawford Survival staff. I've been thinking about getting one.

So wax profound and long on your likes, dislikes and experience with it. Convince me. :p

I thought about posting in the review section, but wanted to keep it here.

I'm obviously not Easv, but I owned one of those for two years and used it quite a bit. It is a very well machined item and, I think, worth the money. You get a lot, as you undoubtedly know from reading the ad. I liked the idea that I was carrying a spear and blow gun although in nearly forty years of hiking and camping, I never needed either. I used it during all four seasons and finally sold it because it was honestly a bit too heavy for me. Since I used it primarily as a hiking staff (I never took it apart on any of the trips except to show a hiking/camping companion), I prefer carrying a lighter one (made of birch). But that said, there's a "cool" factor to the Crawford piece and I never regretted getting or using it. Hope that helps a little and holds you until Easv gets here...
