Has anyone compared the burn time and heat ouput of G.I. Triox bars, Wet Fire tinder and Esbit Fuel tabs.
I usually carry a G.I. canteen and stove with Triox bars or Esbit stove and fuel tabs.
But I was wondering if the Wet Fire tinder would be a better fuel source since you can light it with a fire steel and it burns when wet.
Assuming the burn time and heat were close which would you choose and why?

I have/use all three. The trioxane I can't find any more. They burn real hot ( the oval, purple ones),and I can usually boil one teacup with one. Wetfire tinder (too expensive IMO) I use only in the survival kit. Esbit tabs are a lot like Coghlan's solid fuel stove tabs, and are like both are my main use solid fuels. Pack them in an air-tite container to keep them dry,and also to stop them from contaminating other stuff where they are stored, as they are smelly over time. I sometimes have to use a few to heat my cup on the Esbit stove, but that's ok. Triox, lites easiest with a FS,but you can lite the others too, just scrape the Tab up some first. Hope this helps.

I have limited experience with the Wet Fire. However, that limited experience is that it was hard to light, and didn't burn particularly long.
