just figured id show off the combo that showed up yesterday. because im more partial to leather, i ordered the knife only and picked up a sheath for it from CC Leathers in Mississippi. you dont know how tickeled i was when they both managed to show up on the same day..seems like that never happens for me.:D

should make for a nice EDC combo to compliment my slippies...

I live in a very humid place so use KYDEX sheaths, but leather sheaths are beautiful and traditional...Congratulations for models!

Very nice guys. I know its a minor issue, with proper maintenance, but how does the leather affect the 1095? Is there much, or any rusting associated with the combo?

I have had none. I use Obenhauf's HD Leather treatment which is a beeswax compound. Inside and out. None of these have been wet. If soaked, I would certainly take the knife out and place it back in its Kydex or IMP sheath while the leather dried.

ive never had any issues in the past either... just a regular wipe with a silicone rag on the uncoated blades seems to keep em protected

I live in a relatively humid climate, Cambodia, and I found it best to keep my RAT 3's outside of their factory sheath when I'm not using them. I usually wipe them down with Tuf-cloth when I'm finished with them. That is what I have found to work best with the humidity over here.
