esee 3 folder vs izula folder

I'm trying to decide between the two, and I am curious as to what you guys like. If you had to chose one over the other, which one would u pick, and why. I know it would be very difficult to chose one at this time because there are very little specs given, but...
 
I think you're jumping the gun bro.

There are really no plans beyond, "there will be an Izula folder" for the Izula right now. And the ESEE-3 while prototyped doesn't have a definitive locking mechanism yet, though it "wont be a rotoblock."

So my suggestion, get a Spyderco Delica 4.

until they come out, I'll continue to use my RAT1 & Kershaw Rake.
 
Well... i'd get the Izzy folder, but this is a pipe dream as of now!

Is there even a projected production date yet?

The production date for the Izy is some time after the 3 Folder. Maybe... as far as I can tell. The Izy folder is kind of like ESEE's HEST/f only, no one has payed for one in the mean time.

what are you guys talking about? have you been asleep or something? i just got my rat pack 3 folder with orange g10 and my rp# engraved in it last week. also, my izula folder is paid for and i am expecting it sometime late feb. :D
 
I will give you no crap about making this thread.

I have no problem waiting for the folder-of-the-future. No hurry from me.

An Izula folder is really what I've been dreaming of ever since I saw Tomso's rendering. If the 3 folder makes it out well before....I might not be able to resist. Depening on features and whatnot. I've been thinking about stepping up to a big boy folder from my Kewshaw Leek but I just can't find anything I really like.

like adaman04 said lets cut the guy a break. when it comes to rumored/pre release knives im sure we are all like kids staring into a candy store that have no money, we just cant help talking and getting our hopes up! and ps, 3 folder man!
 
As a new forum member who missed your Rat Pack 3 and the HEST LE as well as the many other specialty limited run prototyped through this forum knives I get why newbs like me and our friend here get overexcited. I assume it is only a good thing and not wanting to lose there space in line.

What a special thing it must be to own something like this.

i wasn't messing with the op at all. i was just giving everyone else a hard time. ;)
 
ESEE-3 folder, because that one actually exists and Jeff seems to like the proto a lot. But i'm sure Izula folder will be great too...once down the road when it's actually made
 
I'm really looking forward to the Izula folder. Already ordered a HEST folder, so for me I'm not as excited for the ESEE-3 folder.
 
I'm weathering the storm and waitin on the Izula folder

The smaller stature and thicker spine configuration are the 2 main factors that got me sold on the Izzy over the 3 right now

I guess we'll see how this plays out and hopefully a production run before the end of the year
 
I want to EDC an ESEE Folder and work draws the line at 3" blade. Izula Folder would be the one for me. Hope to see it become a reality some day.

Hmm could carry the ESEE 3 Folder on the weekends though ..... aww crap :)
