I own several more exotic knives of a similar size but I have to say this little knife is absolutely fantastic.

Thin, and therefore light enough, to potentially replace a folder as an EDC...

I'll be recommending this knife to those just starting their knife journey.

Nice! I just ordered a Esee 3mil with custom orange G10 scales and am very excited to give this knife a go!

After giving mine away I cant seem to be without so ill be ordering my new 3mil shortly, and I totally agree that the esee 3 is the best knife in the 3-4 inch fixed blade range.

I like the Esee 4 a lot better for EDC carry. It's not too small for a fixed blade and is not too big to carry around.

Esee 3 is pretty cool still.

Do you always carry a fixed blade? (im just curious)

All the time. I tried the Izula but it was too small. Then the BK2 but the sheath was a bummer (the weight doesn't bother me) but the Esee 4 is just perfect with the sheath. I have it tied to my belt just to the right of my buckle. (handle facing towards the buckle) Hides from the sheeple, is amazingly quick to draw and is easily the most comfortable carry I've used.

My first Esee! 3mil with custom G10 scales. I am very pleased with this knife!

I too love my ESEE 3. I am looking at G10 scales for mine, but it seems the ones picture cover the glass breaker on the mil.

That's one of ESEE many strong points, they make each blade a different thickness to maximize its effectiveness. The 3, while not the smallest, it the thinest knife they make because they know folks are going to slice. The smaller Izula series are thicker because they are edc knives and folks are more likely to use it harshly in a jam. Love ESEE bigtime.

The custom G10 scales do cover the glass breaker. I didn't think I would need the glass breaker while camping and backpacking so I was willing to sacrifice the glass breaker. However, I still have the original scales if I want to go back to the original set-up. The custom scales are really nice. They add some width and length the handle which makes it more comfortable in the hand.
