I received my ESEE 3 Mil yesterday, and had the opportunity to take it outside and play around a bit today. I used the blade to baton some wood from my woodpile, make some fuzzsticks as well as get a fire going with the firesteel. What a great knife! I own an outdoor Adventure company and I thoroughly look forward to using it for food prep and basic camp chores while out backpacking, mountaineering, snowshoeing, dayhiking and rock climbing! The 3 Mil definitely won't be my last ESEE blade.:thumbup:

Congratulations on the knife! You will love it!

Look forward to hearing about your outdoor experiences with the knife.

Nice pics! I got my ESEE-3 mil serrated a few days ago. I've been playing with it so much the bare steel is starting to show. I got #1299 thats pretty close to yours there!!

Nice pictures of your Mil -3 .Thanks for those action pictures.I just got
an RC-3 and I really like it.

Damnit. I'm totally focusing on the HEST folder but I really like the ESEE-3. I have the HEST so maybe I'll be OK until the HEST folder comes out. BTW, sweet pics of your knife!

i must say the 3 never really interested me. it always seemed too small, my 4 seems kinda small in my hands, i wear XL gloves. But lately i have been wanting a 3MIL, and the 1st picture is helping sway my mind towards a 3 from a 6

Thanks for all the kind words! I'm loving it so far, and it hasn't left my side since I got it. Now it has me planning my next move...........HEST? 5, 6? Too many choices!!!!:cool::thumbup:

Put the ESEE 3 Mil to work tonight chopping veggies for dinner. It did exceptionally well! Nice easy cuts, and it sliced the tomatoes super thin! Yep, it's official.....I LOVE THIS KNIFE!:thumbup:
BTW, I was making some coleslaw for fish tacos.

Erik, how's the lockup of the blade in your sheath? Is there any side to side, or up and down play? I was just wondering if it's just mine.. Jeff is sending me another one though.

Hey Jake.........my sheath has a tiny bit of play up and down, but no side to side. It isn't enough to make me concerned about it because it doesn't rattle when I'm moving around, and it is nice and secure when carried upside down.

How does the new sheath that Jeff sent you compare to your old one?

I really like the 3MIL. It's on my short list, along with the Izula, -4, -5 and the Junglas.

Yeah, yeah... I know... I KNOW! :D
