ESEE-3-MIL needs a larger handle it feels small compared to an Emerson

I just picked up an ESEE-3-MIL and I'm dissapointed with the handle size.

I have an emerson cqc 14 snubby, and a cqc 8 . Even the smaller cqc14 has a much larger handle then the esee3mil :(

I like the build quality of the esee I just wish it had a larger handle.

having said all that there is a certain solidness to the fixed blade esee 3 mil that the emerson folders I have are lacking.
plus the glass breaker pomel is badass.

I didn't get the Mole Sheath system with mine just the black plastic knife holder with belt clip.

not sure if it is worth getting the sheath system sense i have the plastic mold knife holder with belt clilp

the handle is quite thin and flat. there are pros and cons to most knife attributes, but yeah, this handle can become uncomfortable during sustained, heavy cutting. however it carries well for the very same reason.

The Knife Connection makes after market scales for the ESEE-3 (and others), I don't care for the ones they make for smaller knives like the Candiru and Izulas but on the ESEE-3 & 4 they're really nice.

I don't have a picture of the 3 scales handy but the 4 is similar so for reference you can see some swell to the sides and more importantly they extend past where the stock scales stop. Oh yeah they come in a bunch of colors too.

Hope this helps,
