ESEE-3 or Izula II?

I am looking at either the Izula II or ESEE-3 as a general purpose/everyday knife. Or an Izula with the optional grips? I don't need a big knife but would prefer a fixed blade. I have a 5" knife for the woods and when my ESEE-6 comes I'll have that too (back ordered). I just hate carrying my 5", its too awkward using around the shop/office and spends the day strapped to my bag, not me.

First, congrats on good choice of blades (ESEE). If it's between the 3 and Izula, take the 3. Just a better all around small knife. JMHO.

Plus a 6 and a 3 are one of the best combos. I combo a Becker BK 9 with an ESEE 4 ... Kinda' the same thing only different. (little bigger combo) (LOL)

Enjoy your new blades. You got (getting) some good ones.

I have a 3 and an izula, the 3 is just a little big to EDC (unless i think i will need a bigger blade) and the izula is perfect, besides the handle length, i have never owned/handled the izula 2 but i hope to get one soon, i think it will be a great edc.

I have the Izula II (only because I have a big mitt) Good EDC. You'll like it.

Funny, after the novelty wore off, I went back to my BucK Vantage Pro (folder) as an EDC.

Still the best knife for the money IMHO.

Between the standard izula and the 3, I'd go with the 3, but once you have that much overall length the handle shape on the 3 is a huge plus. I also think the izula is too darn thick to be perfect, while the 3 is ideal. If a person could only have one knife I think an esee/rc3 would be the one.

I took a look at the lengths and even though the ESEE-3 would have a more comfortable handle it adds 2" to the length. So combined with the info here I went with the Izula II. I figure the extra 1/2" over the standard Izula will make it a bit more comfortable. My every day carry multi-tool is a Swiss Army Swiss Champ (the big fat one) so this will be a big leap as it is. Can't wait to use it!

Oh, I did go with the full kit too, not just the kife. I don't know that I will use all thats in it but the sheath and clip for sure.
