Esee 4 arrived today

Hey people. Any idea why my esee 4 handle has orange stripes rather then the standard green ? I would ask the shop I got it from but they only speak German and don't reply to English mail.

Never seen one like that before... All the green handle/black blade 4's on Knifecenter appear to have matching liners, not orange.

Do you like it? Cause, personally, I think it looks neat.

not sure if that's how some come from the factory or not though. sorry.

looks good, I'dkeep it.
 
I have ordered both an Esee 4 and an Esee 6 from a US Dealer (in the past two weeks) and both have had the Orange liners. I think it looks really great. No worries...it is completely normal.
 
Yeah I actually quite like the orange against the black. Just hoping it doesn't mean its an old version or something.

nothing wrong with an old model, they've been solid since the beginning. my only ESEE says Rat Cutlery on it. :p

but I wouldn't think yours is too old, if it's old at all.
 
I recently ordered ESEE-4 with clip point tip (from US dealer) and it has orange (or more like red to me) liners. Seems like the new line does that. I would have preferred green but hey, little things. : P
Awesome knife! Especially for the money.
 
Ya I heard they switched to a sort of earth tone liner colour not too long ago, which would make your knife fairly new. It seemed like most people weren't too fond of the bright green. I never really understood the point of the bright green liners myself, seemed out of place.
 
I have the 3 & 5 & 6 and if you send me the 4 I would be very happy and I am sure the 3 5 & 6 would be also.!**
You will like it as mine goes to the Lake every time I go Fishing and been Camping 3 times now this year and all 3 of them go with me ~~ we are kinda like the 4 Musketeers or whatever.! You can't beat a RAT or an ESEE for doing what needs to be done.!** You will get to want to wear it 24/7 as they become very addictive and you will want more.!! You will "C"
