I got my new ESEE-4 last week. What a great knife, it will certainly take the place of my SOG TOMCAT for my camping knife. I did put a little bit of a spacer in-between the scales. I used bicycle inner tube, it is amazing how much difference 1/8" makes. I also used a dremmel tool to etch some grooves in the case where my thumb presses to get the knife out. Also I used my Lansky to hone a 20* razor sharp blade. My best friend boondoggled the lanyards from parachute cord.

Great knife from what I've heard. I have the 3 and 6 and just don't feel the need for a 4. One of these days.......

I had a 4 and it was great. The only problem I had with it was I could not get it sharp enough. I am not talented enough to re-profile an edge I used the sharp maker from spyderco, and a strop. Has anybody else had that problem?

Congrats on your new blade. 4 is one of my favorites too.

My Becker BK 9 and ESEE 4 (great combo) Definately get you through the night.
