Trying to choose between the two, as they are in the same price range, for an all-around outdoors/backpacking knife. The Esee has thicker stock and now comes with a Kydex sheath (this is the HM version), and the Bushcrafter has a saber grind and a nice leather sheath. I'm partial to LT Wright as it's a small manufacturer, but have always wanted to own an Esee at some point.

Thanks in advance.

I have an ESEE-4, ESEE-4HM and one of the new ESEE-3's with the 3D contoured handles. If you get an ESEE-4 I'd recommend the new contoured handles rather than the HM version. The HM feels like you're holding a sausage, and the knife doesn't naturally centre itself in the hand.

Don't have any experience with the Bushcrafter but it looks nice :)

I ended going with a Bushbaby in 3V with FFG, which is going to be easier for me to maintain. I wanted a smaller knife, and the slightly thicker stock and 3V steel was worth the additional cost to me over the Bushcrafter.
