I just got the molle back for my ESEE 6, and man what a great system. When I first got the knife I was impressed, and totally in love with the knife, but using the sheath with just paracord or the molle lock was not comfortable. The molle back is brilliant, comfortable, and convenient. You can pretty much attach the knife to anything anytime.
Now I am thinking, can I use the molle back with other knives? The rivets on the molle back are positioned 3 inches apart(vertical) and 2.25 inches apart(horizontal). This obviously works for the ESEE 5/6 sheathes, but what about other sheathes such as Mashed Cat, Okuden or Buy Brown? is there a standard for rivet spacing? has anybody put a none ESEE knife on the ESEE molle back?
