ESEE 5 Question?

I just purchased an ESEE 5. It appears that it now comes with the plastic Kydex sheath, as opposed to the nylon that apparently the first ones came with. Anyone have the nylon sheath? How do you like it? How's the sheath holding up?

The nylon sheaths were made by Eagle. Pretty good quality but there were some fit issues with the duel retention straps for me when I flipped the knife over (I'm a lefty).

I still use it from time to time, holding up fine.

Best sheath I own, period. The Eagle sheath is of awesome design, allows for dozens of mounting options and the altoid tin pouch is great. snap is very secure, there's a plastic liner with some sort of felt-like material inside for a quiet draw of the blade and protects the finish from being scratched from the sheath. Eagle needs to make more of these... and not just for the RC5...

Eagle makes the sheath still... ESEE just opted for another direction.... my only complaint on the Eagle sheath was no lid on pocket....

Thanks for the responses guys, Im definitely interested in one. Thanks again.

I have the original Eagle sheath and it is one of my favorite sheaths that are production. I haven't found anything wrong with it. At first it wasn't my favorite, but after getting used to it, I love it.
