ESEE-5: Your Carry Methods?

Got my ESEE-5 recently and it's my favorite thus far.

Only problem I'm really running into is how I should carry it. My preference would be on the belt on my right side when camping or hiking. However, I have a Maxpedition Falcon-II and I suppose I could easily lash it to that in a camping/hiking scenario.

At any rate, I've got the molle back for it that works with the ESEE-5/6 and the accessory pouch. Not really sure how I feel about it. I've tried various set ups here. Tried it with and without the pouch. Tried it using just the lower half of the molle back. Just not clicking with me. This is probably best for attaching it to my backback I would think.

The clip that it came with isn't too bad. Just rides a little higher I would like. I also wonder how sturdy it actually is? The backing of the clip is kydex, the clip itself is metal. I know kydex is tough, but will this thing snap at some point? Overall, the clip isn't too bad, I like it better than the molle back anyway.

Haven't tried paracord belt loops yet, but I question how tightly they're gonna hold. I really don't want this thing flopping around.

For the moment, I'm just leaving the sheath as is. Kinda just like it that way, but in the end, I do need to have some means of strapping this thing on.

Suggestions? How do you carry your 5?

I've got the Molleback + pouch and will use that for belt carry - Dwayne at Armorall Leather is making me a scout-carry sheath. I rigged one up with the factory kydex sheath before, but decided I wanted 2 diff dedicated sheath options.

If you've got the right belt and sheath, this knife carries very comfortably in the small of the back.

I carry mine in an early version Rat Pack:

Neck carry! :p

I most often use the clip plate and put it on the left side cross draw, usually have a pistol on the right. Thought about going with the molle back, but I like being able to take it off and on easily with the clip plate. Especially since I typically put it on the left side where it's pain in the rear to mess with a belt all the time.

The MOLLE back you have has a belt loop also, both upper and lower halves.

Yeah, I've tried both of those. The problem is my belt and not the molle back. My belt appears to be a little too broad, the velcro comes up just a little short when I close the flap. Need to get a slimmer belt and all should be well.

I'm using a Jones Tactical, Zombie belt. Thats only if I am running around in the wilderness. Daily I don't carry 5 on waist, its to commando urban wise, Don't know your location, but in So cal discreet carry my hest, and 3. My go to knives.

In Wyoming or Colorado I have carried my 5 openly on belt, tied to thigh so it doesn't slap around. It is a HEAVY knife, so be aware, belt sag may be an issue for you.

i don't know, mine hasn't gotten here yet :(

i'm pretty sure, i'm gonna carry it concealed strong side in a 2Munkeez IWB sheath, though. hopefully, there aren't any unforseen dimensional issues with that method.

i carry mine with the molle back and the pouch on a condor drop down leg platfom. i feel like i can pull it out alot quicker in this position if needed. and its alot easier to put back into the sheath.

I carry my RC-5 in its original Eagle Industries sheath strapped to my right calf when flying. When hiking, its on my belt.

Well from what I got it can be a Trekker or a Forester. One tool of difference, and I'm interested to see what ppl find more useful

I carried the passaround 5 with th clip plate mounted low, IWB strong side for a few days. forgot it was even there.
