Hey everyone, just joined, this is a great forum :) just recently got my hands on my first esee, a 6, and man i am hooked! i cant put it down! anyways, i was wondering how it be carried horizontally, as from what i can tell the supplied MOLLE locks cannot be attached perpendicular to the sheath, only parallel down the sides. is the molle back the only way to carry it horizontally?

If you don't want to spend the $, I used paracord to lash it horizontally, before I got my molle back....

that's a big knife to carry sideways.... para-cord and a cord loc be the best way to go then you can lash it any way you want :D

congrats on the knife and welcome to the forum

Agreet, big knife but as mentioned loop paracord through the eyelets. For stability, use the holes furthes apart from eachother.

Hey, I just got that knife too! *high five* I will be gettnig mine in the mail soon, but like you, I've pondered how to holster my sheath horizontally. I figure I can use the MOLLE locks to attach to my beltloop, and that should provide some kind of stability. If it is still unstable however, i'll just use paracord through the unused holes and tie it down to my belt.

Tell me how it works out for ya! :)

Congrats on your 6!
Just make your own scout carry rig - I have another post on the ESEE forum about how I made mine for my 5 - won't bore everyone posting it again, but hit me up if you can't find it.

wow that custom scout rig is sweet tarditi, thats exactly what i was looking for. thanks!

I staggered the molle locks on mine once. One up one Down. Carred

ied the six scout style at a little u der 45 degrees to belt. Fit under a polo in bars without detection by bouncers or the fuzz.

Bourban and iPhone keyboard no mix, sorry for typos

Great knife! I bought one a couple of weeks ago and it's been great. Welcome to the forum!
Sorry I can't comment on carrying the knife horizontally though.
