Hello,
After seeing some beautiful 1095 mirror finished blades, I decided to strip my 6 and sand down the corners of the handle. It is now ergonomically comfortable and purty.

Looks nice man! Kinda makes me want to buy one just to try this...
Then of course buy another to leave the coating on...
:D

Thanks folks!
@ Rob, come to think of it, the platform hasn't been useful except as a handle.

You're making me consider trying this on my 6 now. That looks fantastic. I've also been thinking about modifying the handle. It seems like it would make a big difference for my hands.

It's not mirror finished yet having just a 320 and 600 grit polish after the belt sanding. This is a user so I might just leave it as is. The convex edge ROCKS!

WOW I love it. Another member mentioned he was thinkin about buyin another 6 just to have both versions, not a bad idea. That looks fantastic. I own a 6 and know they have nice lines, but thats of the hook. So you did that with just a 1x42 belt grinder? of so cool! Enjoy and thanks for the pics. edgy

I think we should start a "6 PACK" what ya think?

great looking job man but i prefer the coating on mine for nonreflective reasons

That's fantastic! Now you're making me think of whether I should buy an ESEE 6 just to mod... a mix between your mod and CricketDave's, perhaps...
