i would like to have your input on the ESEE6, so far with mine i find it is a very useful knife, it works as a small chopper and it is small enough to make feather sticks! i've had mine for two weeks now and try to use it for it's purpose. It has seen anythign from dirt (unfortunatly) to food, and i still havent sharpened it yet. It will still take the hair off your arm. The quality of the 1095 steel is awesome. easy to sharpen and easy to take care of. Today we got out to build a trap and used it for the bigger stuff, it worked awesome.

I have the Izula, RC-3 pack knife, and the RC-6. If I had to grab only one while jumping out of a plane into who knows where, it would be the RC-6. It's just that good.

I got my 6 in the Rat Pack Kit from the shelter contest (thank you again, Jeff). At first I wasn't really big on larger knives since I had always pretty much carried 3-4" blades. Once I started using the 6, I just love that thing. There's nothing better than batoning with a strong 6" blade then using that same blade to shave kindling and make feather sticks. Excellent knife and probably in my top 3 as well.

The ESEE 6 is the standard of a true survival tool. Everything else I bring is considered extra or region specific gear.

Fantastic knife ,the 6. I put a tek-lok on the sheath for better carry. Works great for batonning also.
