For those of us that don't really need a reason to buy ESEE knives, we have another legitimate excuse.

I went to a large local gun show this weekend. Among the myriad of used .22, cheap dragon fantasy, obvious knock-offs and the like I was able to find two ESEE knives. A 4 and a 5P. The 5P was the plain black blade with canvas handles. It was lightly used and did not have the sheath. I asked the guy how much he wanted for it. 210$ I gave him a look and didn't bother finding out how much he wanted for the 4.

Aren't we lucky? We can order that same knife for ~145, use it, lose parts AND sell it for a 65$ profit.

idiots like that are the reason MOST shows are worthless !!!

although I still will attend 1-2 a year simply for entertainment, and hopes that I'll find someone cleaning out grandpas safe.. but I NEVER go there expecting level headed pricing..

vender's like that need to stay home !!

I've got a feeling he packed it back up and brought it home.

Now if he were to say "$90 and it's yours", he would have had $90 cash in hand instead of the blade to keep putting out show after show and not have it sell.

I'm done dickering with idiots like that. I never used to say anything and I don't like being the "I can buy that on the internet for..." guy but sometimes it's ridiculous, especially if I'm interested in the item. It's a free country and they can ask whatever they want for it, but I think I'll just start pulling the item up on my phone and showing it to them. Wow, NIB with all accessories $150 shipped from lots of great vendors.

You're a better man than me, I'd be in to it for another $40 for the sheath system, putting me $20 away from a new one.

On the other hand maybe it does sell. Scary thought no?

A vendor might well set an unreasonable price for the first few days of a show hoping to get a sucker. Then perhaps drop the price towards the end.

How did you even find an ESEE knife among all the beef jerky, beanie babies, airsoft toys, and roasted nuts?

That is what I was thinking right as I read it HAHA thats why I stopped going to the local gunshows.

You guys must've went to the same show I went to. My wife and I recently went to one after a 10 year hiatus, man talk about a disappointment.
