First, hawdy all from a guy that appreciate a good knife.
Always did and always will.
I recently realized that I am slowly but surely becoming an Esee fun.
It wasn't always so, but not too long ago the Izula broke me in. And the Esse-6 sealed that for me.
Together they make a great combo for my outdoor outings.

Since I got the "6", the biggest issue I had was to find a comfortable way to carry it. As much as I love spending time outdoors, a large knife like that would sure get unwanted attention.
I didn't want to carry the blade in the pack, as that would make it "not easily accessible".
The solution came to me when I found a sholder leather strap in my local army surplus store. Not original, but works great for me:

Pros: both knives are easily accessible
they disappear under a shirt
they are out of the way(even with the back pack on) and comfortable to carry
Cons: None yet.

I'd appreciate if I can see what system you guys use.

Tek,

Neat rig man. I just use some 550 and a cord-lock on the 4. A bit more 550 to neck an Izy 2, and a leather pouch for an Izy in pocket. I am impressed that you have a rig that carries a knife that carries a knife and also another knife. Nice camo job BTW, I assume it's custom.

God bless,
Adam

PS: How easily does the 6 draw from there? Any issue with the whole rig just coming up with it or does the LM weigh it down nice?

Sometimes the most simple thing is also the best solution. Is that a LM Blast on the 6? Just lash it on through the belt loop with some paracord?

I carry an esse5, a hest and two izulas comfortably on my maxpedition Sitka gear slinger. It has many different carry options and it's not too big nor too small... It's just right.

have you thought about finding a way to attach the botton of the sheath to a belt or belt loop? i think it would make it a bit more stable, like a shoulder holster. keeps it all in place and could aid in draw. just a thought. cool set up!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. Appreciate it.

I know, it may seem like overkill, but it's nice to have the right tool for the job, and I don't mind the weight. Honestly, Izula comes along in this set-up just because it's too much fun to use:D.
The camo job was done by a fellow forum member.

The weight of the multi-tool helps balance out the weight of the knife handle so it doesn't rotate while I move.
I still have to hold it dawn to withdraw the knife.

I like to have a multi-tool on me sometimes. Either LM Wave or a Juice Pro. The pouch also allows to carry a fire steel, a DC4 sharpening stone and some basic first aid.

And yes, that's paracord attached. I find the versatility of this sheath design impressive.

That's a good idea. I'm sure it can be done with some more paracord:thumbup:

just to clarify do you strap the bottom of the sheath to your belt or do you use two hands to deploy either of the knives?
edit : you answered this already...

that is a very nice set-up, I had never thought of that. I usually attach my M-9 to the pack, I will have to try this...Great pics

Simple solutions are often best.

I love horizontal lumbar mounts. Izula back there day to day would be great too. It is out of the way, and won't get caught on anything. Downside, it won't work with a pack mounted on your lumbar. I am waiting to check out some options on a drop sheath.

On the river I go with a shoulder mount such a Viva la did.

After looking at the forums here I am going to have to try a shoulder ling aproach though.

OP, NICE! Just want to give you an fyi, it is a felony in Ca, to conceal a fixed blade knife, so be careful on them "dissapearing under a shirt". None of my bussines, but I would hate to see someone get hooked with a felony, because of stupid nonsense laws. Good luck, carry on

Good point ubet.
In my case, I carry a wood processing tool in a wilderness environment under a vague "lawful recreation" exception, not a concealed weapon in a urban setting.
I try and stick with common sense.
I'm no lawyer, and it's also possible there's some obscure state law/city ordinance I don't know about - but this is how I see it.
