The other thread about this slipped past me, so I was confused when I discovered a box at work from ESEE. I had stepped away from my desk for about 5 minutes and it just appeared while I was gone. Having not a clue what it could be since I hadn't ordered anything, I promptly cut it open with my HEST:cool:. This is what was waiting for me: an ESEE-6 and a nice hand written Christmas card!

Needless to say I was shocked. What a classy outfit. I bought an ESEE 4 and a HEST back in the Spring and have loved them since. I was a customer for life at that point. These guys are too good. They already have great knives and gear, along with some of the best service around, and they also just give stuff away? I'm convinced they are in the knife business just because they like to be, not to make their fortunes. I would have been thrilled to receive another vinyl decal for Christmas. I would have thought them crazy to pick twenty-five folks and pass out Izulas to them. But 3s, 5s, and 6s? I can only come up with one word: Classy. They know how to treat customers and that's why we're all here. As I said, I'm a customer for life. I can easily support folks like these.

Merry Christmas and God bless to all the folks at ESEE, Rowen, and BladeForums.

PS. I'm struck by ESEE's generosity. To help level my Karma my son and I are going out this weekend and spending what this knife would have cost on Toys For Tots.

nice. my wife and i donated a bunch of gifts this year, actually more than our daughter will probably get. but she is 18 months old, and they are entertained by a box or riding the dogs around like horses.

Congrats on the knife! Thumbs up to ESEE. I don't know of any other company that do what these guys do!

Man, I got a box from ESEE today as well. But, when I opened it, all that was inside was a note from Jeff saying to stay out of the forum, and this:

Very nice! I have been wanting a ESEE 6 for a while, maybe the wife will get the hint :D

Very Cool! Put that 6 to good use for us, then share the pix!

Man, I want a gift from the guys at ESEE. :p
The company is so cool.

Dale with TKC is sold out of the ESEE-6P-B :(

I wonder how much you need to spend on ESEE products before you get selected as a "most valued customer". I think I made the qualifying numbers :p
(Waiting to post my whole collection. I still need the ESEE-3 and ESEE-6.)

Excuse my ignorance, but How did you get that knife? Did they pick your name out of a list of customers and just send you a random present?

That's awesome! I'd like to know how you got it. Mine must be lost in the mail, or showing up right around the 25th.

I didn't spend much. Not near as much as some of my brothers. It was karma, I reckon. That's why I have to do a good deed before she discovers she made a mistake! Take care.

I see people (I included) are jealous of your gift.

I don't mind buying the ESEE-6. I would have bought it already, but my dealer is sold out.
I also want the ESEE-6 from the staff at ESEE because of the sentimental aspect. I'm currently fascinated with ESEE knives. For the owners to send me a gift would make my day. I would cherish the gift :p
You could buy the ESEE-6 at the dealers, but not so often you get one as a gift from ESEE.

 +1 to this

And bless you too, for your generosity.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas.

paul, yes - they put all their customers, dealers, and forumites names in a hat and pulled out 25 names.

Congrats, man! Great knife.

So did this giant brown snake I received come from Jeff or Mike? :p

Which one of you has been eating corn? :D

Oh OK. That seems fair. I'm sure everybody wants a gift from ESEE. Might be hard for the owners to turn down a lot of people. :(

That is just awesome! How many companies do this? As much respect as I had for ESEE before. It just went up 10 fold. Great company and just good people. They all seem like real down to earth cool guys. So far I'm loving mt 4!

jdk1, Merry Christmas my man!! What a way to start. Make sure you get some pics after the holiday week-end & be sure some of that coating is worn off just a tad . . . . :D

Jeff, Mike & the rest of the "The Brain Trust", you guys are really a good group of people to do stuff like this for your fans/buddies/customers/friends/fellow drinking pals. Merry Christmas to all of you as well.
Be safe.

It never stops to amaze me that people still try to run that gag. My daughter is 12 and has learned that doesn't work. The definition of a gift is you don't ask for it. The company goes out of its way to hook a few up and then others have to get upset or complain they didn't get picked. Hey better look next year.
