ESEE Confusion

Again, I think some folks are getting things confused. The Izula will have the same logo it has always had (ant). The RC-5 will have the same logo it has always had (crossed knives w/ skull). The 3, 4 and 6 will change to the logo shown beside by user name above. All these knives are the SAME price as last year. No price increase.

As for those asking about the crossed knives and skull and thinking that it's meant as a tough guuy logo, well, that's wrong also. The skull has long represented some units E&E training, in other words, if you don't know how you will end up dead. That's where that logo comes from. Not from some wannabe tough guy thing. We will be using that logo on the 5, the Junglas, the Lite Machete and the Fire Kit since all of those fall into more of our "survival" series of gear.

So Basically ESEE is broken down like this:

1) ESEE Knives which is a our standard line (3, 4 and 6)
2) Survival Line (Junglas, the 5, and the Lite Machete)
3) Izula Line (Izula knife, Arrowhead and some coming products in this line)

All the above come under the header of Randall's Adventure & Training ESEE Knives.

I guess I am kind of amazed that the name change has generated so much..... noise. It all seemed pretty straight forward in the PDF's liked off Jeff's first post, and let's face it, RC has never let us down with their product line, and that isn't ever going to change.... where's all the confusion?

To me it is a nice sign that the company is coming out with fresh ideas and products....

Could you clarify a little more?

3) Izula Line (Izula knife, Arrowhead and some coming products in this line)

WHATS NEXT! :D

All I know is that now I can rationalize getting a RAT pack with new ESEE-6. I can hear my wife now

"Don't you already have one of those knives?

No, honey. That's was an RC-6. This is an new, improved ESEE knife. Very different.

Awesome!:D

So what does the letters mean? E , S , E, E . For those who were not born knowing.:D
Thanks.

The new name has been used by Randall's Adventure & Training since 1997 while under contract with the Peruvian Air Force School of Survival.
ESEE stands for Escuela de Supervivencia (School of Survival) Escape, Evasion . The acronym also represents Education of
Survival, Escape and Evasion - A domestic and international training class taught by Randall's Adventure & Training.

From the website.

to me a name is just a name.... it's the hardwear and the people standing behind it that counts. if you don't like the name don't buy it  if i had a line of knives i'd call it p.o.s. cutlery or crap knives :D

do believe i ment to post this in another thread...oops

I wasn't confused at all. I just go with the flow. However, thanks for the clarification.

Best, Les.

I really don't see where all the trouble is. It isn't that hard to understand. I guess this will clarify it more, but I am unsure of why it needed to be more clear?
