Esee Epoxy Powder coating

How well from your experience does the coating stay on the knife. Also I wonder why they don't use titanium nitride coating like some knives have. Seems it would be better.

Im going to assume that you mean Esee and not Esse

It stays on well enough, but like any coating... it'll fade.

My guess is that they use what they use due to cost, that said, I have zero complaints.

I suppose manufacturers stopped using it because of the EPA regs but I personally would rather have a parkerized knife than one with an epoxy powder coating. I believe it would wear better. After all it was good enough for Marines in the Pacific ( if kept oiled). Also it doesn't chip like some epoxy coatings.

Esee coating has worked just fine for me. What do you expect with a ton of use right?

I haven't burned through the coating on mine yet, but I do notice that it wears down to a very smooth surface. I do like that.
