I was in need of some more of those black cord locks that ESEE supplies with some of their knives. I went to Walmart and bought a 4 pack for 50 cents. The cord lock that comes from ESEE is made a lot better. The cord lock seems to have more "tension lock" than the Walmart product. I would trust the strength from the ESEE product than the Walmart product.

Any chance I could go grab a couple at a local retail store?
I don't think ESEE sells them?

Maybe it doesn't matter? Walmart sells a 4 pack for 50 cents, good price.
Here's a picture of the Walmart product.

they have those cordlocks on that auction sight...might be able to find some good ones there. also, check out countycomm.com ; they have them too.

I'll echo stealthchaser13, countycomm dot com has a good cord lock selection. Be forewarned though, you'll end up with a shopping cart full of fun toys.

Another vote for county comm... here is the link http://www.countycomm.com/CORDLOCK.htm

I have purchased the locks and cord ends from them fast shipping, and yes I ended up buying other stuff too... ya know cause I saved on shipping :D

(note: I am not associated in any way with them, if the mods feel the need to remove the link please do so)

I have ordered from LightHound before and used the coupon cpf (candlepowerforums). They have a good selection as well as having split rings, paracord and all sorts of goodies.

I always use ITW cord-locks and I think ESEE does too. I trust ITW more than anything else.

ITW Nexus. "Free Samples". That is all.

This is it. Thanks guys!! :D

'ITW Toaster CL'

"Originally designed by ITW Nexus, the Toaster CL provides the option for a lanyard tie-down to assist in one-hand adjustment and features patented hole alignment eliminating the manual closure compression while threading the cord; cord is simply threaded through the pre-aligned holes, and a squeeze unlocks the mechanism and engages the spring to grip the cord."

Now I gotta find out where to buy them. Ebay, amazon, google, etc.

They are ITW. We went through a bunch of different ones when we were first looking because a lot don't have enough tension to hold the cord from slipping. These were the best we could find . Mike
