Ingredients:

10 tomatillos
2 jalapeño peppers
1 bushel of cilantro
2 sprigs of green onion
1 medium sized onion
4 cloves of garlic
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (to taste)
1 lime (squeeze in the juice)
3 or 4 large avocados (preferably ripe)
1 avocado seed (leave in finished salsa to prevent browning)

Blend or chop together to your desired consistency (nearly pureed works best I think)

Enjoy!

did you puree it with the 4? lol

Knowing this crowd, all one needs to do is get out all their 4's, hold them in one hand, and vigorously chop... for hours.

No, I tested out the wife's "binford 2000" food processor (I cheated).

That looks just amazing. Sadly sometime about six or seven years ago I developed an oral allergy to avocado (and peaches, cherries, and a few other things). I can't tell you how much I miss them!

Looks awesome Nors, I think i'd limit myself to 2 avocados, have never been a fan of avocados. and the idea of leaving the seed in there... INGENIOUS

I would imagine the seed gives off some oil too which would be good for the aroma as well as the taste.
Nice post sir.

Wish I knew why the seed trick works, but it does work!
Great job on the salsa, looks very tasty.

Im a real sucker for green salsa. Ive never made my own but that looks amazing. Ive bookmarked this page and will most likely make some this weekend. Thanks for the recipe!!

That looks good, Norseman. I'll have to try it soon.

Would it be considered hijacking to post one or two alternative recipes for green salsa?

Thanks,
Steve

Damn you, this looks very tasty :D

Unfortunately I never had the chance to get hands on those tomatillos over here in Germany... I need to find an alternative then ;)
