Esee Izula Black Oxide Finish

Has anyone tried the Izula 2 with the black oxide finish ? Your thoughts on it vs the powder coated blades?

Okay, decided to just buy one and try it for myself. Love the finish and much smoother than the textured powder coat. I feel it makes a better slicer having less friction and being a tad thinner.

Hope to have a few woods days later this week and will see how it does for light day camp / bushcraft type stuff and also for thinning out the garden this fall. The coated Izula 1 is my new edc knife for work and office.

The Izula is one of my favorite pocket knives. The sheath just flies off with a little thumb pressure and the knife has a very useful blade the same length as a Spyderco Delica.

Very nice. I like the oxide finish better.
I took the powder finish off my RC6 and it batons noticeably better. I wish it had that oxide finish.

How did you remove the finish I got one on the way and might do the same.

I use blue painters tape for masking.

I used a spray on paint stripper to do an Esee 5. Worked out great.
