Anyone else super excited for the Esee Izula folder coming?

ESEE*®*Knives will be starting production on the long awaited Izula*®*Folder in 2015. The photo below is a non-engraved production prototype featuring Titanium frame and framelock.* At this time we do not have any further information when it comes to final specs except for it will be all USA Made in the Rowen Manufacturing shop. We anticipate the warranty will be the same as our fixed blades.

This is great news and i can't wait to get my hands on one

It's nice, but considering how long the wait has already been I'm not holding my breath for a 2015 release

No but if/when it comes out it will certainly be on my list for serious consideration...

...but I hear you. I am certainly tired of the wait! ;)

Can't wait for this folder.............Bigfoot cut me off on the highway yesterday, got a picture but it came out blurry

If and when it comes out; and assuming it will carry the same warranty as the fixed blade. I'll pick one or two up.
Expected date have come and gone.

I wonder if they're going to stick with D2 for the blade steel. I recall that was the intent back in 2010 or so.

Now they went with stonewash? Looks good! Wonder about the price though...

Well its supposedly about the same size as an Izula, so no. No, I am not interested in an itty bitty folder with a sub 3 inch blade.

It will be interesting to see what blade steel it has, and if the steel is as ho-hum as the rest of their line, how it is going to compete with the rest of the titanium framelocks out there.

They have flat out said that it is not going to be cheap, but I believe everything is going to be made in house by Rowan.

Well, I saved these photos a while ago, so I'll put them up.

My feelings are much the same as others have already posted. I like the folding Izula, but it seems to have as much going against it as going for it.

I've waited to so long already, I may stay out of the initial release, and wait for one with a pocket clip and stainless slabs.

I vastly prefer the look of the original Izula folder concept with the micarta scale. You know, the one that actually resembled the Izula...

This one is a pass for me.

dare I say a "gentlemen's folder"? i'll buy one, but not sure how i'll feel about it when it gets here. honestly, id prefer it to have been a liner lock with G10, that would feel more like a true Izula folder to me.
