Finally it's time to burn some wood in the fire place.
The Izula II worked great. Making small shavings and splitting some wood.
Made it real easy. The blade took some good wacks while splitting and no rolled or chipped edges.
The coating did wear off onto the wood a little but no worries. I love the way it looks even more now.
Thanks guys

All I can say is God bless Esee and their knives. Some day... Some day I will own them all :)

I'd like to be able to say that. I've got an Izula II, and an Esee 6. I also have a collection of other knives like Schrade USA, Buck, Benchmade, etc. After appraising the situation, I decided to quit buying them for a while. After all, how many can I use?
I am however eyeballing the Esee 4. ;)

The Izula 2 has been my go-to knife for camping and small wood-working. I haven't had any rolling or chipping, and it's extremely easy to get back to my desired sharpness. Good little knife!

The Esee 4 is an awesome knife. I actually traded mine for this Izula II. I really didn't dig the OD blade and Orange G10 on the 4. The Orange got to dirty to quick.
Thanks
Jose

My problem is I have the 5 - the inbetween stage where it's too small for proper chopping, and too big for smaller stuff. I need at least 2 more :p

Haha any excuse to grab another !! That 5 I have always wanted to check that one out.
Thanks
Jose

Ive been eyeballing an Izula II for a while now, for some reason I think that last picture might have pushed me over the edge. I'll probably end up buying one tonight lol

Haha they are awesome blades. I got lucky scoring one of the Orange ones. Thanks for checking this out bro.

Sounds like you need a junglas. With the best sheath EVAR!!!!1100011!!!

The worstest coating ever seen. I never seen a coating squashed into a splitted wood...Wow... they are not a easy to re sharpen, not a long edge ritention...but anyway they are very low price. Good geometry blade and nice design too, that is.

Hmmmm, can't tell if stupid or troll...

I don't have any problem sharpening this blade. I really don't even have to re sharpen it, just a few passes on the strop and that's it.
