Zyhano,

Yes I watched these on youtube a over the last two days, very nice! You did a great job! I really want the Junglas more now than ever!

I always enjoy you outdoor vids. I was watching the 1st part, then my better half interupted me. Havent gotten back to it yet, but then i have something to look forward to.

Where in Finland did you go?

EDIT: Found the lake on Googlemaps.com, its pretty close to Sweden.

What did you use to sharpen the knife in the field? Did you?

Thanks:)

Enjoyed watching the set, love the way you do video reviews. 2 year old and 3 year old kids ran over to see some of the chopping and the Junglas wake-up :)

Thanks Rick, I tried out another knife today in the woods and kindof missed the junglas, even if you wouldn't use it all the time, it's still al type of knife you would want to have around.

thanks man! Yes, when the better half wants some attention always close the youtube reviews :) good call, something I learned too lol.
It was around raanurjarvi lake as you prbbly know by now. Pello (half swedish, half finnish) is about 30 kilometers away and pretty close. We drove there the last day to search for a knife maker we heard of but ended up going to sweden by car withouth a passport, I couldn't resist the urge to quickly visit northern sweden.

thanks for the compliment :)
I actually never had to sharpen the Junglas in the field that week, which pretty much amazed me as it kept shaving hair after all the use. I used it a lot more than you see in the vide0 (really a lot more) so it's pretty awesome that the sharpness lasts and lasts. I sharpened a friends' knife during the week, since his was pretty dull, with a spyderco doublestuff.

I have sharpened the junglas later when I got home to see if I could use it in a bladesports competition event (in the netherlands) but I knew it was just a bit too long and the knife was not allowed in the competition. Also to the dissapointment of the judges I have to admit :) I used my diamond dmt stones set for it, and I might put up a short video on it.

thanks bubba, nice to hear. It's fun to have your kids around, hope I didn't wake them up with the 'battle cry' :) in the sharpening vid I referred to above you can constantly hear my 2 year old talking/blabbering in the background lol

excelent video review looks like a great time
I had a really great time, thanks man! I have to say though that I prefer good sunny weather over cold and snowy most of the time, so I'm planning for some summer adventures

Well done and thank you for the videos!

Given that in Europe the Junglas is roughly 4x as much as a Gransfors Bruks Small Forest, how much better is it?

I like the 1095 of ESEE, easy to sharpen and stays use able sharp for a good while.

Is there anything you'd change about the knife?

Thanks! i paid 75€ for SFA and about for the 170€ junglas shippedmfrom the us..
I would add a choil, since it would give it better handling for detailed work.
I really like the choil feature in my new buck hoodlum, it would work well on the junglas too.

Awesome review! Again. Thanks for sharing. As an ESEE user i only can say that it performed as well as i would expect. Maybe i should get a Junglas too.

Thanks Zozo, if you're an ESEE user and you're thinking about getting one... :) I guess we both know the answer ;)

Thanks for the review....I enjoyed the videos. Great job on the underground shelter......looked cozy!

Me too, watching your vid made me get one too. Used it hard and it always gets the job done. Great big knife.

I know this is a zombie thread... But I'd just like to say thank you so much for this video review.. I watched it a two years ago, and it finally pushed me over the edge.. So I bought my Junglas which is now my favorite knife in my collection. It's been on probably 15 Search and Rescue missions, up in the cascade and olympic mountains, and with me as I build trail this year in the mountains. Thanks again for the review!
Ian
