Sounds like the colhane machete mods off youtube. I'd run it just like it comes and see if you want to make the improvements.

Thanks adaman I guess I will but It needs to be sharpening and the sheath hmmm not good I need the up-grade on that forsure, I will flatten the top alittle.

Yea. Going too sharp on a machete isn't a great idea. Just gong to dull faster. Mine came machete sharp, and I'm more than happy with it. The thin blade stock slices awesome

Methinks you're confusing a sharp blade and a thin edge. Two very different things. Sharper is always better--it WILL stay sharper longer. Thinner is NOT always better since a thin edge is more prone towards wear. Condor edges are usually nice and sharp from the factory, but sometimes they aren't quite all the way there. Doesn't take much effort to fix up, though!

id have to agree with 42B....i like my machetes sharp so with a quick flick i can remove vines and brush...the less swinging the better. i usually sharpen it up to the fine grit on those DMT flap open sharpeners.

+1 This is the first Machete that own that didn't need sharpening or grinding before being used. You'll be impressed I can promiss you that!

Again, Condor edges are usually completely mega-sharp, but it's not even remotely uncommon for the occasional one to slip through that just needs a light touch-up. :)
