I want to sand off the powder coat from my new (to me) Izula and was wondering if there was any health concerns with powder coat sanding. Thanks
Paul

Don't know about that but I have had good luck with Citrus Strip for painted coatings. After the coating has mostly dissolved and been scraped off, I use a cone shaped wire wheel in a drill press and finish removing the rest.

It can't be good to breath that stuff in so wear a dust mask. I would recommend using a chemical stripper instead. It should save some time and you won't have to worry about airborne dust, though fumes would be a potential issue.

I was thinking of doing the same to mine, could any1 tell me how i should go about this..? THanks!

Two people already have. I guess I'm not really sure what you're not sure about. If that makes sense...

Just wear a respirator. I would recommend stripping it though, easier and less time consuming. Get a heavy duty stripper...hehe

My brother did that to his and afterward there was a little wobble while its in the sheath. Not too much to where its a problem with retention but its noticeable.

I just remembered. If you are familiar with Gavkoo from youtube, he has a video about forcing a petina on a es kabar. He stripped it with a something, cant remember the name. That might be helpful.
