Having acquired my second ESEE family member this week (a 3 series) I got to thinking about the naming conventions used. Any interesting stories behind why the Izula and Junglas models are not given numbered names like the 3, 4 and 5.

Just curious.

Between Jeff and Mike 3, 4, 5 and 6 were the only numbers they knew. Don't ask them to add them together.

From the website:

The locals in Peru call the meanest, nastiest ant of the jungle by the name "Isula". We know it as the Bullet Ant. The Bullet Ant is known to be independent, tough, light on its feet, and a real aggressive survivor - the IZULA knife is built the same way. This knife is designed to be the perfect lightweight survival kit or concealed carry knife.

As for the Junglas, that is just Spanish for "jungle" and Junglas sounds badass when someone asks you what that 10" knife is you're holding.

These guys are one of the most elite Police commando units in the world. Trained by our SF guys, CIA, DEA and just about every other 3-letter agency. Real high speed and efficient in their work. The FARC is absolutley terrified by them and the Blackhawks they roll in.
