I didnt know Esee had other offerings of machetes besides the light by imacasa. I was on bladehq website and they are offering 12 inch imacasa machetes under the Esee name. I don't see any micarta handles though. These appear to be plain Jane machetes some even come fully unsharpened. Can someone shed some light.

Hmmmm....looks like a regular old Imacasa to me. You'd think Jeff-ro would have given us a heads up of it were ESEE.

Wow and I was going to order my junglas from them in the morning when my direct deposit kicked in but I'm not ordering from a company that is misrepresenting a product to make sales. I'm taking my business elsewhere

Maybe they made a mistake.

Mrs. Shotgunner mentioned ESEE imports them, so it's possible they were in a shipment of ESEE blades and got listed as ESEE.

I agree that it should be "fixed" but I don't think they are intentionally trying to mess with people.

EDIT:
ESEE Knives Imacasa Machete 12C (Satin Plain) *Sharpened
The Imacasa Machete. The 12" blade with ground edge that has been sharpened. Tough black molded handle with hole for lanyard. Sheath not included. Distributed by ESEE Knives.

Still kind of weird, but they don't say manufactured by ESEE and they don't say they are warrantied by ESEE either..

I live in utah were Bladehq is and they are expensive IMO, I shop around before I purchase from there.

Plus I get taxed and then the shipping charge, no thanks.....

Try looking at www.the-knife-connection.com. Dale the owner is GREAT guy, has GREAT prices and customer service and also free shipping!!! He's also a regular here on the ESEE forum so you can ask him a question anytime.

You are correct DH and I have removed my above post so I myself won't mislead anyone by mistake. Thanks

Ummm weird. Looks like a regular Imacasa "Colin" model. I've got one and it's a nice machete, but Imacasa gets the credit for that one. :p

I grabbed one of those just the other day. Unsharpened so I could put my own edge on it. No way you could mistake one of those for an ESEE. Very ugly, but perfectly functional, and 12 bucks, works for me.

Not sure why they're labeled ESEE as well, but as far as BladeHQ, I've done business with them several times and those guys are top notch.

Your mileage may very, but that's always been the case for me.

Flexxx, wasn't sure you were aware, but they do have a store front so you can check out any item before you buy and save on the shipping costs... for those of us who live in Utah. :)

I don't think our product guys are trying to mislead anyone- I'll make sure the listing gets tweaked ASAP so it's clearer. Thanks for pointing this out guys (how come no one emailed us)?

Well, none the less you're always welcome to stop by if you're in the neighborhood. We usually match prices too.
