I just recently ordered the ESEE Pack Kit with an RC-6 and I was wondering if it will come with the old RC markings or the new logo. So, this is a question thread and not just another one of those "OMG I JUST ORDERED THE ESEE-*".

Thanks.

P.S. I know that a quick email could answer this but others might like to know too. T hope mine arrives soon.

I hope so. I live just 30 minutes north of where they ship from(Gallant,AL) I believe. Maybe it will be here soon.

Since we’re all just guess I will guess it’s going to have the old logo since Lost Mountain Iron Works is doing the packs and they probably don’t have the ESEE patches.

New or old, both are nice. :)

I just got an RC-5 from them this week in the pack.

Nice Tony! The hardest part about the purchase for me was deciding the color LOL. And convincing my parents I "needed" it. (age=15)

Couldn't tell you without having Mike do an inventory of what's in stock to ship.

While were talking about the kit, a little modification you might want to try once you get it is saw off a small piece of the kydex "tube" at the bottom. You can operate the zipper around that area a lot easier without it getting hung up on that corner:thumbup:

EDIT:
Are the new fire kits grey or is that pic weird?

It won't take too long to ship right?! :D

I ordered mine at Apr 8, 2010 19:19:26 PDT according to Paypal and it showed up on Monday in my mailbox. Very fast turn around. :D

I popped the little cap off the sharpener and that made it so the tip will stick out less and not interfere with the zipper.

Re the Fire kit: It's a darker than the photo shows, and the pic has a blue cast to it, the placement of my flash really lit it up. Depending on the lighting, holding it in my hand it's kind of a dark titanium color with a hint of a copper tone in it.

I've got a few fire kits. They're annodized green, which tends to have a wide variety in final color batch to batch. Just the nature of the process. Mne range from a grey green, to bright green

im just a little confused. you ordered the pack and blade all as one? I just ordered my esee5 from emgear. and I am looking at the pack kits and I am just looking around trying to find one. on the esee website, there is a large kit and a small kit. are those the kits you guys ordered? if so, which one would fit the esee5. and the kit in the picture above has a sharpener and a different sheath and such.
would someone send me a link to the kits everyone is buying?
thanks so much

A: this thread is ~8 months old
B: The packs used to be sold with an RC-6 or RC-5 (ESEE-6/5) from the esee website. They no longer are. We are all waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for the updated version of the pack shown here:

No one knows when they'll be available. Not even Jeff or Mike.

The kits pictured above are no longer offered by ESEE. However, I believe that they are still available directly from Lost Mountain Ironworks (pack only, no knife), the original manufacturer.

The ones pictured on ESEE's website are as yet unreleased. The release date has not been announced except that it is "soon". Pure speculation on my part, but I would assume they will be released at SHOT.

I think RAT said that it would be a while because they were trying to have these made in the US. On second thought, he might have mentioned there were a few that were made in Colombia that would go up for sale at some point...
