I saw a knife called the DPX Hest but I don't see it on the ESEE website. Is this a blade made or designed by them that is sold by DPX? If so does it come with the same warranty? I've been looking at the ESEE knives and I really want to get started with one. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. The knives are very cool and look to be a quality tool backed by a quality company. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums... recently ESEE and DPX went their separate ways. Some web sites still have ESEE/Rowen HEST knives for sale that would be warrantied by ESEE. Newer HEST knives will be warrantied by dpx and whoever they get to make the new models as far as I know none of these new models have been made as of today's date.

If you want the ESEE warranty but cannot find a ESEE/Rowen HEST the ESEE-3 and izula/izula 2 are similar in blade size to the HEST but they are different knives all together.

Disclaimer: I do not own a HEST the above is based on info on this site. I do own a ESEE 4 and two izulas. They are great knives and you wont be disappointed.

Honestly, the HEST just looks like fun but I've got my eye on the ESEE 5. Thanks for the info!

Ive got an RC-4 and an izula 2 but no 5 and no hest.

The 4 is a pretty good throwing knife but story has it that the ESEE 5 just knocks the tree's over(Just joking btw... Never throw your good knives).

Ha ha from what I'm told you can throw the ESEE at a cinderbock and the only thing that will happen is you'll have two smaller cinderblocks!
