ESEE Rat Pack in Tatical Knives Magazine

Just back from the bookstore where I was browsing through some magazines,when I found
an article about the Rat Pack.

It was in the Sept 2010 issue of Tatical Knives, it was a great article about the Rat Pack kit.

I read the same article in TK. It was a good review, and the last paragraph speaks volumes:

The Rat Pack gets two thumbs up from this survival instructor. It shows a move in a promising direction and out-of-the-box thinking...

I agree, but we will have to sit and wait for the new & improved version 2.

Is it just me or does it seem that they are favoring the 6 with the pack? Maybe it's because I didn't saw the entire article, well at least more than what is shown on that page

Well, keep in mind that that article is one writers opinion. If I were to write the article, I'd most likely favor the 6 too. Steven Dick, the magazines editor doesn't really neuter the writers. He gives them carte blanche so to speak as far as opinions go.

The article was 3 or 4 pages long and did mention both the 5 or 6 as available with the rat pack.

Cool, so there is more to it.
Shotgunner, I really wouldn't know what to favor in the pack except both. One day hike, or a really, really lightweight camping trip - 6. Some kind of a search and rescue mission (yep I just felt my IQ fall about 10%) - 5.
But that's probably up to the individual to decide.
